Chelyabinsk State University in association with the All-Russian non-governmental organization Russian Association of Linguists Cognitologists invite you to participate in the Third international scientific conference Languages of Professional Communication.

The conference agenda includes the discussion of a wide span of theoretical and applied research questions, including the following:

1. Theoretical and methodological problems of research into the languages of professional communication.
2. Conceptualization and categorization of professionally significant information in synchronymy and dichotomy.
3. Types and kinds of professional knowledge and its representation by language means.
4. Problems of genre and style in the field of professional communication. Language, cultural and professional competence.
5. Special features of scientific and practical cognition and communication. Artistic communication as a type of professional communication.
6. Terminology of different branches of knowledge and activity from the point of view of professional cognition and communication.
7. Cognitive mechanisms of representation and production of professional knowledge. Inference, re-categorization, and blending of mental spaces in the language of professional communication.
8. Interlingual and intralingual transmission of professional knowledge. Terminographic support of professional communication.
9. New languages of professional communication. The role of information technologies in optimizing professional communication.

We invite all language professionals interested in the development and improvement of professional communication in Russia and abroad to take part in the forthcoming conference.

The registration fee of 400 rubles (200 rubles for RALC members) should be sent by a postal order to the above mentioned address care of Selyutin Andrey Anatoliyevich. Materials for publication should not exceed 5 pages (Word 6.0-7.0, Times New Roman, font 14, line spacing 1,5 pt, margins 2 cm). The conference materials will be published by the beginning of the conference.
