International conference ITEA’2006 is a forum to discuss current trends, achievements and mainstreams in research and development of ICT for learning, education, and training.

Main conference topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • knowledge management for research and educational environments,
  • management of multipurpose and reusable learning resources,
  • modelling of learning situations,
  • advanced technologies for learning and training support,
  • formal models and their implementation in learning technologies,
  • technologies for knowledge and skills acquisition,
  • intelligent decision support systems and their use for education,
  • emerging architectures, services and solutions,
  • interoperability issues and technical standards for learning technologies,
  • knowledge society and development models for learning and research spaces.

Conference program will include paper presentations, posters and demos. Issues related to teachers training, experience and problems in introduction of ICT in learning processes, ICT in schools etc. will be discussed at special sessions and roundtables.

We expect participation of researchers, teachers, developers, PhD students as well as others interested in discussion of current state and trends in learning technologies development.

The extended version of best papers will be invited for publication at the special issue of the professional journal “USiM” devoted to the conference.

1 April Notification of acceptance
15 April Abstracts for Roundtables and demos
20 April Camera-ready for conference proceedings
1 May Registration deadline for authors and presenters
15 May Conference presentations for CD publishing
29 - 31 May Conference

Extended abstracts should be sent to the organizing committee info@irtc.org.ua with a copy to Kateryna Synytsya, kath@umod.kiev.ua.

The submissions should include

  1. Title of the paper, authors, keywords or conference topic
  2. Extended abstract of 300-500 words outlining the main idea of the paper
  3. Main presenter name and organization
  4. Email address for communication

Those who would like to run a Roundtable discussion or Special session should send their proposals to the organizing committee in a free format. Please let us know if you have potential presenters in mind, as well as approximate number of participants and duration. Call for participation in Roundtables and special sessions as well as other information related to the conference will be distributed via email and conference website.

May is one of the best months to visit Kiev, it starts with famous chestnuts blossom and end with a city fest at last weekend of May.
