Dear Olga:
It is my pleasure to officially inform you that the 2001 Legislative Council has granted affiliate status to the Russian Communication Association.
This means that you are authorized to request programs at the 2002 NCA Convention in New Orleans. If you wish to issue a call for participation, you should contact Judy C. Pearson, NCA's First Vice President (judy_pearson@ndsu.nodak.edu) as soon as possible.
Also, it would be of benefit to both NCA and RCA for us to develop a memorandum of understanding regarding our responsibilities toward one another. I have enclosed one such agreement between NCA and the American Forensic Association. It can serve as a template for our discussion. If possible, I would like to present a draft memorandum to the NCA Administrative Committee at their Spring 2002 meeting. In order to do that, we should have a draft prepared by March 1st.
I look forward to working with you and the members of RCA. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
James L. Gaudino, Ph.D.,
Executive Director
